The Firm was appointed Lead Counsel on June 21, 2000, to represent a class of Musicmaker shareholders. The Complaint alleges Musicmaker, certain of its senior officers and directors and EMI Group, plc (named in the Action as “the EMI Group”), EMI Recorded Music, EMI Recorded Music-North America, and Virgin Holdings, Inc. violated sections 10(b), 20A and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and S.E.C. Rule 10b-5, as well as sections 11, 12 and 15 of the Securities Act of 1933. After defeating defendants’ motions to dismiss, The Firm engaged in extensive settlement negotiations, which resulted in a $13.750 million recovery for the Plaintiffs.
