On August 23, 2017, the Company disclosed that it informed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that it was voluntarily recalling specific lots of the Company’s Oral Care products sold through the company’s Sage Products business unit. Stryker also stated that the recalled products were distributed between July 2015 and August 2017, and that the recall is being initiated due to potential cross-contamination involving non-pharmaceutical products.

On this news, Stryker’s share price fell $7.15 per share, or 4.9%, to close at $138.36 per share on August 23, 2017.
