Glancy Prongay & Murray Attorneys Cited by Super Lawyers for Success in Securities Fraud Cases

Six Glancy Prognay & Murray securities attorneys were recently were selected among an exclusive group of Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. The distinctions recognize the firm’s recent success helping individual and institutional investors recoup money from fraudsters through class action litigation.

Kevin Ruf and Robert Harwood Named Super Lawyers

Glancy Progeny partner Kevin Ruf and Of Counsel Robert Harwood were cited as Super Lawyers for their successful representation of a wide range of clients.

The rating service awards Super Lawyer status to attorneys based on peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of attorneys in each state are distinguished with the Super Lawyers designation.

Kevin Ruf was named a Super Lawyer for class actions and mass torts, as well as Employment litigation. Ruf, who is based in the Los Angeles office and heads the firm’s labor practice, has also been named one of California’s “Top 75 Employment Lawyers” by the Daily Journal. He has argued a number of important cases in appeals courts, including the blockbuster Dynamex decision that revamped the distinction between employees in independent contractors under state law.

Robert Harwood was named a Super Lawyer in securities litigation and securities and corporate finance. He has been representing clients in these cases for more than five decades, helping institutional and individual investors recoup millions of dollars. That includes a $45 million settlement in a securities fraud and disability benefits class action. Mr. Harwood is based in the firm’s New York office.

Four firm lawyers were also named Rising Stars by the Super Lawyers rating service. That distinction, which goes to just 2.5 percent of all eligible attorneys in each state, recognizes exceptional attorneys based on surveys, peer reviews and professional performance.
